Terms and Conditions
The visitor attraction known as THIS IS HOLLAND (TIH) and located at Overhoeksplein 51, Amsterdam (“the Attraction”) is owned by This is Holland B.V. THIS IS HOLLAND aims to inspire both residents of the Netherlands and tourists to embrace the Netherlands forever. All persons visiting the Attraction are subject to the following terms and conditions and by purchasing one or more tickets for the Attraction (“Ticket” or “Tickets”) you confirm to TIH that you accept these Terms of Use. Ticket holders are referred to in these Terms and Conditions as “Visitors”
Tickets
1.1 A purchased Ticket is strictly personal and entitles one person to enter the Attraction on a single occasion. Once visitors have exited the attraction, they must purchase an additional ticket to re-enter the attraction
1.2 All persons entering the Attraction must be in possession of a valid Ticket which must be kept at all times and presented for inspection if required by a member of staff. Failure to present a valid Ticket upon request may result in removal from the Attraction
1.3 Group Tickets for groups of ten or more may be available at discounted rates (“Group Tickets”). https://www.thisisholland.com/tickets-prijs/groepstickets (the Groups page) for details
1.4 Where Ticket prices vary according to age, the following provisions shall apply:
1.4.1 A person aged 13 or over is considered an adult;
1.4.2 A person aged 4 to 12 is considered a child; and
1.4.3 Children under the age of 4 years cannot participate in the experience
1.5 The price of Tickets may vary from time to time and the advertised prices are not guaranteed. Please contact us at info@thisisholland.com or 0202153008 if you have any problems paying.
1.6 Once obtained, either by purchase or on a complimentary basis, Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and void if modified and Tickets TIH reasonably believes have been transferred or modified will not be honored. Tickets will not be replaced if lost
1.7 Tickets include access to most, but not all areas of the Attraction. Subject to availability and at the discretion of TIH, visitors may be able to purchase additional tickets to access all areas of the attraction
1.8 From time to time TIH may issue Tickets as part of special promotions (“Promotional Tickets”), but Promotional Tickets are subject to availability and all terms and conditions affecting the specific promotion
1.9 If your group booking has to be canceled by you after it has been confirmed, the group leader must inform us immediately. Unfortunately, we cannot refund reservations canceled within 48 hours prior to the visit.
Pre-booked tickets
2.1 Pre-booked Tickets (including Cluster Tickets (as defined below)) must be presented at the main entrance of the Attraction”
2.2 Persons wishing to redeem pre-booked Tickets must be able to present the following items to attraction staff:
2.2.1 The booking reference issued when booking Tickets; and
2.2.2 A valid ID
2.3 Pre-booked Tickets may not be used in conjunction with any voucher, promotion or special offer
Children
3.1 Children aged 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18
3.2 Some areas of the attraction may not be suitable for children of certain ages and TIH reserves the right to refuse entry to such areas for visitors under the recommended age limit
3.3 Visitors must be taller than 102 cm to participate in the Flight Experience. The minimum age is 4 (four) years. Visitors over the age of four and under the age of 16 between 103 and 130 cm tall must be accompanied by an adult visitor.
Health and Safety
4.1 A variety of special effects (including sudden loud effects and strobe lighting) may be used in certain visitor areas of the Attraction. It is recommended that visitors with medical conditions ask attraction staff for more details and avoid areas of the attraction where such special effects are used.
4.2 It is not permitted to participate in the Flight Experience in the following cases:
(a) Visitors with back problems and/or disorders;
(b) Visitors with heart (related) complaints;
(c) Visitors suffering from vertigo;
(c) Visitors who are pregnant;
(d) Visitors under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs;
(e) Visitors who cannot sit alone in the Flight Experience
(f) Visitors wearing loose-fitting clothing.
4.3 Attraction staff may from time to time draw Visitors' attention to certain health and safety procedures that Visitors must adhere to
Visitor Behavior
5.1 Visitors are obliged to comply with the following prohibitions at the Attraction:
5.1.1 No smoking;
5.1.2 No pets or animals;
5.1.3 No consumption of food or drink without the express permission of TIH;
5.1.4 No assault weapons;
5.1.5 No access to any area of the Attraction other than areas designated for Visitor access;
5.1.6 No unnecessary noise (from mobile phones or personal stereos or otherwise) or conduct that may annoy or offend other Visitors or intimidate the staff of the Attraction;
5.1.7 No use of illegal drugs or alcohol
5.2 TIH reserves the right to refuse access to or remove from the Attraction any Visitor who does not comply with the prohibitions in condition 6.1 or who, in TIH's opinion, will affect the safety or enjoyment of another Visitor or member of staff
Security
6.1 In the interest of security, visitors may be asked to search their person or property and anyone refusing to submit material or found to be in possession of materials deemed dangerous or unsuitable by TIH will be refused entry or removed from the attractiveness
6.2 Visitors must keep their personal belongings with them at all times and TIH accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings brought onto the Attract
Photography
7.1 TIH or other authorized third parties may from time to time take photographs or other recordings in the Attraction and images or recordings may depict Visitors. Visitors consent to the use of such images by TIH in connection with advertising, promotions or monitoring and acknowledge that the copyright in such images is owned by TIH and/or an authorized third party
7.2 Photography and filming are not permitted in TIH's shows
Obligations of TIH
8.1 Visitors are reminded that from time to time parts of the Attraction may be closed and certain figures may be removed for maintenance or technical reasons. Tickets are non-refundable and no compensation will be paid in the event of such closures or removals.
8.2 TIH will make reasonable efforts to be open and operational during the published hours of operation, but reserves the right to close the Attraction on any given day, for security or any other reason, without prior notice. In the event of such closure, all Tickets issued for use only on the day of closure will be exchanged or refunded by TIH at the price paid for them, but no further compensation will be paid.
